Oncology RN

We are seeking an outstanding Registered Nurse for the USC Westside Cancer Center (WCC), a concierge oncology clinic providing individualized, high quality care. Serving adult and geriatric oncology patients, the WCC is looking for an individual to provide skilled nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, intravenous infusions and investigational drugs. Job responsibilities will include venipuncture, screening tests, health/patient education, immunization administration, patient assessment, administration of chemotherapeutic agents, vascular access device management, skill with infusion pumps and participation in clinical research. Current California RN license, CPR certification, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certificate, and excellent IV skills are required. Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate to serve as a research trainee in the Ruderman Laboratory for the purpose of enhancing and developing research competencies of our Ellison Institute. The qualified cell biologist candidate will have a strong interest in cancer biology. They will use and build on cell lines developed in the lab to develop co-cultures and study the effects of hypoxia on the dynamics of different cell populations using a high throughput imaging platform. The candidate will work in close collaboration with a diverse team consisting of cancer researchers, computational scientists and clinicians to generate and evaluate quantitative microscopy imaging data. Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate to work cancer cell biology and drug development in the Ruderman Laboratory. The applicant will use and build on cell lines developed in the lab to screen small molecules using a high throughput imaging platform. He or she will work in close collaboration with a diverse team consisting of cancer researchers, computational scientists and clinicians to generate and evaluate quantitative microscopy imaging data. Key technical skills include mammalian tissue culture, live cell imaging and analysis using advanced image analysis software. They will aid in the development of grant applications, contribute to writing scientific manuscripts, and be able to perform day-to-day tasks independently. Additionally, they will search literature, utilizing all available resources including electronic, regarding new methodology and assist in designing experiments accordingly; Developing solutions to complex research problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. We are seeking a Research Lab Technician II who is capable of working with a team to develop and apply innovative technologies for target discovery and validation. The qualified candidate will be responsible for in vitro and in vivo studies relevant to cellular and tumor biology and therapy. Characterization and functional validation of targets, in a variety of cancer relevant cell-based in vitro and in vivo assays which includes immunofluorescence, Western blotting, RT-PCR, and molecular biology/cloning. Statistician II

We are seeking a Statistician II who will use clinical study data analyses and machine learning techniques to effectively extract and manipulate clinical data sets for analysis. This role involves close collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, computer scientists, mathematicians, statisticians, and economists. Additionally, the Statistician will perform statistical analyses of clinical data to discover novel associations between clinical/environmental/socioeconomic factors and disease status and/or outcome. They will develop input methodology and data file structure, overseeing data entry and maintenance of data files, including backups and hard copies. Data sets may include high-dimensional multi-omic data, time series from live cell microscopy, and complex clinical data from electronic medical records. They will perform low-level data manipulations, including locating/downloading data from public resources, populating databases, and data reformatting. In addition the candidate will design, code, test, debug, document and maintain computer programs for statistical analysis as needed; installing and testing software, overseeing maintenance of hardware and software. The ability to communicate effectively with researchers across these domains is essential to success in this position. Systems Administrator IV

We are seeking a Systems Administrator IV to join our team. This position will provide network design, manage and maintain the centers computational resources that support our efforts in clinical care, molecular biology, biochemistry and computational biology. The candidate will use their experience in UNIX/Mac and Windows for network operation and management. Their strong attention to detail will lead to meticulous documentation and data integrity, as well as provide analytical and technical expertise on system integration, installation, replacement and upgrades of servers and operating systems. The candidate must be highly professional, focused on quality, customer service oriented, and have excellent in-person support demeanor for users of all skill levels.
