Job Opportunities

Computer Scientist

We are seeking a machine learning expert who has a strong interest in cancer research. The Computer Scientist candidate will collaborate with biological scientists and clinicians to understand their experiments and data to devise predictive machine learning platforms. Expertise in multiple machine learning approaches, including SVMs, DCNNs, and elastic nets is required. The ability to communicate effectively with biologists and clinicians on their own terms is essential. The successful applicant will be capable of working with complex multi-modal data and distilling them into formats appropriate for machine learning. Data sets will include histopathology images, high-dimensional multi-omic data, time series from live cell microscopy, and complex clinical data from electronic medical records. The candidate must be willing to perform low-level data manipulations, including locating/downloading data from public resources, populating databases, and data reformatting. Learn More & Apply…

Programmer Analyst III

We are seeking a talented, communicative, and energetic software developer with experience in the quantitative analysis of images to fill the position of Programmer Analyst III. We generate large amounts of imaging data from several different microscopy platforms. These data must be systematically stored and analyzed. The Programmer Analyst III will support discovery efforts by ensuring that image data are collected efficiently, easily retrieved, and processed uniformly. Additionally, the Programmer Analyst will be involved with the creation of novel image analysis methods. Learn More & Apply…

Research Associate

We are seeking a talented cell biologist with a strong interest in cancer biology to work as a Research Associate in the Ruderman Laboratory. The qualified candidate will use advanced microscopy imaging techniques to study therapeutic response dynamics using cell lines, patient-derived co-cultures and ex-vivo explants derived from surgically resected tumors. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, as the position will work with a diverse team consisting of cell biologists, computational scientists, statisticians and clinicians. The candidate will have the opportunity to mentor junior staff members, aid in the development of grant applications and contribute to writing scientific manuscripts Learn More & Apply…

Research Lab Technician III

We are seeking a passionate Research Technician with a background in cell biology. The qualified candidate will develop a workflow for the culture and analysis of ex vivo explants derived from surgically resected tumors. Key technical skills include maintenance of primary tissue and cell cultures, tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry and microscopy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative work environment, as the position will work with and train lab members, including students of various levels. Learn More & Apply…

Research Lab Technician III

We are seeking a talented and passionate Research Lab Technician III who has a strong interest in cancer biology. The qualified candidate will use cancer patient-derived 3D organoids to study the impact of tumor microenvironmental factors on cell behavior using advanced microscopy imaging techniques. The candidate will work in close collaboration with a diverse team consisting of cancer researchers, computational scientists and clinicians to generate and evaluate microscopy-based imaging data. Key technical skills include mammalian tissue culture (3D organoids), whole mount immunostaining with tissue clearing, live cell imaging and 3D image analysis. Learn More & Apply…
