Computer Scientist

We are seeking a machine learning expert who has a strong interest in cancer research. The Computer Scientist candidate will collaborate with biological scientists and clinicians to understand their experiments and data to devise predictive machine learning platforms. Expertise in multiple machine learning approaches, including SVMs, DCNNs, and elastic nets is required. The ability to communicate effectively with biologists and clinicians on their own terms is essential. The successful applicant will be capable of working with complex multi-modal data and distilling them into formats appropriate for machine learning. Data sets will include histopathology images, high-dimensional multi-omic data, time series from live cell microscopy, and complex clinical data from electronic medical records. Development Officer II

We are seeking a Development Officer II who will help plan, organize, and conduct fundraising for the Ellison Institute. The incumbent will work in coordination with the Founding Director, Chief Operations Officer, Development Manager, and academic leadership to develop short and long-term strategic fundraising planning efforts. The candidate will also evaluate existing programs and identify problem areas or areas for improvement and recommend modifications or adjustments within University guidelines. IT Director

We are seeking a senior level Information Technology Director. The Institute is in the process of building out a new facility to house our program. The new IT director will be responsible for overseeing and directing the placement and planning of technology within the building, including: data/video/telecom networks, telepresence and video distribution throughout the building, deploying appropriately scaled wired/wireless networks, and more. The Institute supports clinical operations as well as basic biological research. This position will be responsible for oversight/implementation of appropriate networks, backup plans, hardware specifications, and security models to support these efforts. Research Lab Technician III

We are seeking a talented and passionate Research Lab Technician III who has a strong interest in cancer biology. The qualified candidate will use cancer patient-derived 3D organoids to study the impact of tumor microenvironmental factors on cell behavior using advanced microscopy imaging techniques. The candidate will work in close collaboration with a diverse team consisting of cancer researchers, computational scientists and clinicians to generate and evaluate microscopy-based imaging data. We are seeking a senior level Systems Programmer IV to develop support tools to assist our administrative core. The integration and augmentation of an in-house project management and accounting system will be one of the primary first responsibilities for this position.
