Lee also joins Keck Medicine of USC as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine after serving as the Health Sciences Director of the National Cancer Institute at the National Institute of Health. He will augment the Ellison Institute’s ability to leverage technology, spark innovation, and drive research to reimagine and redefine cancer treatment, enhance health and transform lives.

Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC. The Institute will be the first of its kind, offering a multidisciplinary approach to cancer research, and creating a bold new model to fight this devastating disease.
Marc and Lynne Benioff give $20 million to support research and treatment innovations to fight cancer
Marc and Lynne Benioff announced their visionary $20 million gift toward the construction of the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC. “Cancer has deeply impacted our family and too many other families around the world,” Benioff said. “We truly believe that by empowering and funding institutions doing important cancer research we will be able to change the course of this disease.”
