Michael is a member of the Mumenthaler Laboratory where he manages the Ellison Institute’s Cell Line Team. He is leading the Cell Line Team to establish a 2D & 3D-cell line bank, optimize culture protocols, and characterize cell lines for research purposes. He also participates in research projects to study cancer cell biology and the tumor microenvironment, with an emphasis in utilizing tumor organoids. Michael earned his B.S. in Biology from UCLA and then his Ph.D. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter while cheering on L.A. sports teams.
